Management Team
Tracy K. Price
Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer, The Linc Group
Price possesses more than 20 years of experience in mechanical service contracting, sales, and business management, and has a strong track record of leadership success. Price began his career as a HVAC/building automation salesman for Honeywell and was one of Honeywell’s youngest ever national account executives. In 1986, he began purchasing ownership interests in Mesa Energy Systems and ultimately became the majority holder and developed three new divisions. Under his ownership, Mesa grew at a compound annual growth rate of 48% over an 11-year period until the business was sold to EMCOR Group in 1998. Mesa also earned the first ISO 9001 certification for paperless workflow management with field service technicians. Concurrent with his ownership of Mesa, Price also co-founded FieldCentrix, the company that developed the patented wireless field service software used at Mesa to achieve the ISO certification. FieldCentrix was sold to Enron in September of 2001, as part of a roll-up with three other companies to create ServiceCo, a new building services company for Enron’s energy services division. After the Enron collapse, he with other minority shareholders and GI Partners led a management buyout to take control of ServiceCo, which is now known as The Linc Group. Price has a BA in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles and holds C-10 and C-20 Mechanical and Electrical contracting licenses.
